Ouzel Valley Logistics runs contract warehousing and e-commerce fulfilment for around forty retail, health and beauty, and homeware brands. Our main site sits in Milton Keynes, with a second shed near Daventry, a cross-dock in Birmingham and, since this spring, a small satellite operation outside Southampton for port-side stock.
We work five days around the clock, Sunday night to Friday night, and the busiest stretch of our year runs from October to the end of January. Most of our supervisors and managers started on the pick face, and we would rather train someone who turns up and cares than chase a perfect CV.
We set up in 2006 with one client and a rented unit. These days we employ over 700 people, run our own RTITB-accredited training school and still keep the same simple rule: nothing ships until it is right.
